Are you looking for a sweet little travel guitar, or something that can stay on your lap around the house? This one is for you! What‘s more, this one is fitted with an awesome sounding 9v pickup system, making it suitable for stage or busking use. This truly is one sweet little guitar, with an almost harpsichord-like chime and a super easy playing neck.
This one harkens back to a small company out of Washington - originally owned by piano company Young Chang who sourced their soundboard lumber from the area. They were produced in a fairly small facility out of the local lumber - in this case solid spruce for the top, and solid mahogany for the back and sides. The design for the P1 included famed luthier George Gruhn - who was responsible for the signature paisley shaped soundhole. Certainly a neat piece of history!
The scale length is 19.1” and is tuned A-A with the same intervals as standard tuning - opening up a whole new avenue for creativity.
Cosmetically this one shows various dings, strum marks, etc. and is in overall player grade condition - however shows nothing unexpected for a guitar of its age which has seen use. The frets show a bit of wear, however pose no playability issues and all notes ring out true as they should. A small cover was installed in the back to aide in adding the pickup - this was cleanly done and would be useful if one should ever want to access the electronics. The bridge looks like it could have seen a re-glue at some point, with some unevenness around the edges, however again looks well done and firmly in place.
Playability wise this guitar is an absolute gem, with low string height and sweet timbre. It is 100% good to go and ready for its next home!
Includes original hang tags and fitted hardshell case.
