Very cool vintage Traynor from the heyday of Yorkville Sound! A straight forward and classic circuit consisting of an EL84 (6BQ5) power section driven by two 12AX7s. This one is great for Motown sounding bass tracks - think small Ampeg portaflex - however it also sounds great with a guitar. It’ll break up if you gas the volume, but it will stay clean loud enough to use as a jazz guitar amp. Food for thought? Its seen some use, with a “port” added to the cabinet under the chassis - presumably to allow the speaker to breath a bit - and I think this helps the amp sound a bit less stuffy. There are some extra holes added in the sides (see photos). There is an older assortment of tubes across the board, and they all work as they should. The speaker appears original, however I have not removed it to look at the date codes.

Cosmetically it has some marks/scuffs/stains/etc from professional use over the years. There are some stains on the grille cloth that could probably be removed with the right product - but overall the amp has a cool vibe and would look right on stage or in a studio.

With cool vintage amps becoming increasingly inaccessible, this represents a great opportunity to get something cool and not super common!

I can potentially meet buyers around the Western NY area, the amp is not super heavy but due to its dimensions I would rather not ship this one.
